Things You Should Never Say To A Network Marketing Prospect ? Part 2

Author: Shon Christopher

When you begin prospecting and finding people who are interested in whatever you are marketing there are always those few things that are said that shouldnt be. As mentioned in part one the first two things said that shouldnt be is anyone can do it and you can become rich immediately. These are two of the most important things to avoid saying when you are looking for a network marketing prospect. To continue, here are three more things to avoid saying to a good prospect.

3. Everyone wants this product

If you think about it how many network marketing companies say this about their product, every single one. There is a possibility that everyone in the world could benefit from the product youre promoting, but it certainly does not mean everyone wants it.

You have to be realistic while you are prospecting and tell them they are going to get some nos, but in order to become successful they need to focus on the yess. The key to prospecting is knowing your target audience. As soon as you identify your target audience, then you promote and sell the product hard.

4. This product is the best in the history of the world

While it is important that you talk up your product and make it seem like its the best in the world, you have realize that nothing is the best in the world for everybody. It may be true that your product is the best for some people, but other people will have different tastes and different opinions.

In order for you to classify your product as the best in the world, dont you think you would have to at least try every product out in the world before? Until you have done that, you can only claim it as the best product you have tried. My point is this; people have heard this line over and over again from companies. People prefer choices and will seek out many different products to find what is best for them. All you can do is promote your product to the best of your ability honestly while prospecting.

5. Sell the product to family and friends

This may very well be the worst thing to do when prospecting and selling a product. If you think about it, the main reason people quit in network marketing is because they are having no success at all in the beginning and they expect quick results. So some think they will just go to family and friends to get a few sells early to boost their confidence.

What happens when your family and friends turn you down? Its almost guaranteed that youll quit. You have to remember that your product is going to sell to network marketing prospects who are interested, not just family and friends who love you.

These are a few of the worst things you can say when prospecting. Be smart about what you say and who you go to when finding a good prospect and you will have a better shot and reeling them in.
