The Las Vegas Nightclub Quick - Guide

Author: Vegas Guy
Looking for what's hot after 11? You've come to the right place.

The Techno Clubber

You like House music and hate pop. We understand, and so do several of Vegas' better nightspots. ICE, on Harmon Avenue just off the Strip, tends to play more House and Progressive music than most clubs. Call ahead, though, to make sure they're spinning the way you like before dropping the cover charge. Drai's After Hours is your best bet, though, and always worth checking out after midnight.

The Trendy Clubber

Always looking for what's hot and where a 2 hour line is a good thing, the Trendy Clubber has a host of new options in Vegas. Tao, Jet and Pure have all opened within the past year+ and offer unique experiences to those who can get inside. Partying in Tao's massive space at the Venetian is often just as difficult as Pure at Caesar's. Jet seems to be the easiest of the three to gain admission, but even that is no small task.

The 'Normal' Clubber

Don't want to deal with the lines at the newer spots in Vegas, and don't want a club that saw its prime in the 90s? There are a number of options for the savvy Vegas clubgoer. Studio 54, at the MGM Grand, is still a killer spot and worth its salt. So, too, are Rain and ghostbar over at the Palms. Watch for them to heat up again this fall as the Palms open its new Playboy Club atop a brand new tower. Another solid choice is Light at the Bellagio. Still
classy, still trendy and still expensive as all hell, Light is a guaranteed good time.

The Lounge Rat

Looking for that nightclub swank without the ridiculous lines and a more relaxed atmosphere? Vegas' lounge scene is second to none. Though it sometimes acts like a club on weekends, rumjungle at the Mandalay Bay is becoming a Vegas legend. So, too, is Lure at the Wynn. Our under the radar pick, though, has to be the Voodoo Lounge at Rio. Perched on top this
off-Strip haven for suite-lovers, VooDoo is still a good time after a recent remodel.
