Some overly zealous critics in both the Arab world and the radical Liberal World of American Politics are now stating that they believe the war in Iraq is what has tempted the Iranian Leadership to take a hard line on their quest to manufacture Nuclear Weapons. Iran now claims they need a nuclear deterrent and nuclear warheads for their new high-tech Chinese Weapons and a team of international terrorists all over the World to deliver a counter strike against any enemy. Does Iran need all this? What is driving them to these hardliner conclusions? Well consider for a moment what some of the critics of the United States, which is stead fast in their goals to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons. An online Arab political analyst stated recently; The US invasion of Iraq, in conjunction with your country's surrounding of Iran has led to Iran adopting the posture that it currently has. Indeed much of that is true, however in the high-stake game of politics with rogue nation states, which sponsor international terrorism, it appears rather beneficial to not be weak, but rather raise the stakes, because those who use fear as their tactic only understand that strength. Weakness in negotiation is not an option. Many believe on the other side of the coin that the US must play hardball and indeed be ready to back it up completely with a ruthless attack and destroy 2/3 of the Iranian Army, all their military assets and use nuclear bunker buster technologies on their nuclear weapons manufacturing underground facilities. We cannot trust terrorists who are in the leadership of a huge country with intentional build up for war, with pre-promised visions of taking out an entire nation with nuclear weapons. Perhaps we might find some middle ground to hold on too and work towards that. It seems that would truly be in everyones interest so lets consider this in 2006. |
