When we talk about illegal immigration what are we really talking about and what are the real problems to consider? Well, we all know that government must protect the American People. But protect them from what? Jobs, disease, crime, economic loss or international terrorism; what is the real issue which is causing this conflict? Well, it is all of that including some special interests from unions and a touch of nationalism and racism, although that is not the issue for the majority of the people. In fact that is a small point really in peoples minds.

There are real problems with money flows being wired back to Mexico, which are not coming back and re-circulating here in the States. There is some crime and there is the real threat of International Terrorists simply walking over the border to gain access to the United States. Additionally it makes it tough for the immigrant illegal alien who is labeled due to those who came before them and caused issues. For instance filling up our prisons in some states with 33% illegal aliens, who are not suppose to be here in the first place. For every one in prison we could have given ten scholarships to US Citizens to college?

We must pay attention to the details of who is in our country and why and what their intentions are if we are to Protect the American People and come up with a strong reality based immigration policy and deal with our current problems with illegal immigration. So, consider this in 2006.
