What is an Illegal Fish?

Author: Lance Winslow

Some think an illegal fish is when you beak the law by fishing out of season, catch fish which are too small or catch too many fish when there is a limit to the number of you are allowed to catch or the type. Illegal fishing, fishing without a permit are all things which come to mind when you hear the words "Illegal Fish," right? Sure that makes sense, but what if I told you that was not it.

For instance what if I told you that an "Illegal Fish" is a fish, which is not allowed to be there? Didn't they see the signs; can't they read? Fish are often found in schools right? Well, then why can't they read? Well one could ask why can't many "Illegal Aliens" read when they come over the border and they are in a country that they are not allowed in or come over the border unannounced? We call them "Illegal Aliens" right? Yes, but they are not illegal aliens per say, not they are illegal humans. You see? Well then know you know what an "Illegal Fish" is; it is a fish which is not where it is suppose to be.

You could say that Dolphins in Sea World are not where they are suppose to be too, but Dolphins are not fish, they are mammals. So how do illegal fish get into the wrong body of water? Well they are generally dumped there you see? Why? Well someone goes to a pet shop and buys some exotic fish, then they have to move away or flee from a Hurricane on its way. So they go and dump it in a nearby river, lake or in the Florida Everglades. The problem with this is they disrupt the eco-system eating up food that other fish such as the local area trout eat and with no predators they multiply really fast and take over the lake and starve out the indigenous fish and current species. Thus this is how "Illegal Fish" can get themselves in some really hot water. Think on this.
